Luckie J. McDonald is a fiction and non-fiction author based in Columbia, Mississippi, whose stories are shaped by a lifetime of experience and a deep appreciation for history and the American South.
Before becoming an author, Luckie served in the Army National Guard, including deployments to Iraq, where he continued collecting the experiences and stories that would later influence his writing. He has also worked in law enforcement, spending years serving communities across Mississippi while pursuing a lifelong fascination with forgotten places and even the people who keep those stories alive.
